Zeke’s Story – Zeke was diagnosed with Leukemia on June 3rd, 2014 when he was just 3. He had beat this disease and had his last chemo September 15th 2017. As of November 28th he has relapsed and the cancer is now in his bone marrow. He is a tough little boy. Zeke has already had a long road, but there is an even longer road ahead of him, and with that comes a lot of financial struggles. Every little bit helps, whether that be in prayers or financial help. We thank you in advance for your support!
Latest Update – Day 32 Friday
After his bone marrow biopsy he had some complications from the surgery and reactions to the medicines to kill fungal infection. He had some nose bleeds and puked up blood, tremors, low oxygen & high blood pressure. He had to have another surgery this morning to remove more of the fungal infection in his sinus cavity. Because he is still nuetrophenic he may have to have surgery every two days until it’s all gone. His blood counts we’re low so he received another platelet transfusion and a blood transfusion today. We spoke with his oncologist this morning and the results from the biopsy were not what we hoped for. It looks like the cancer is not responding to the chemo, so he is going start a second line therapy using a drug called Blincyto. It will be a continuous drip for 28 days. There are some risks involved, so we could be looking at an ICU visit in the future. Oncologist told us that this treatment this has a 75% success rate for getting into remission. Will update as soon as we can, thank you so much for all the prayers and support. #teamzeke #prayforzeke
